SPECIAL GUEST: ANDREA LYTLE PEET

Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend Welcomes Special Guest, Andrea Lytle Peet, the first person with ALS to finish a marathon in all 50 states.

Imagine for a moment that you were given a terminal diagnosis and just a couple of years to live. Would you let it stop you—or would you keep on running? Given just 2 to 5 years to live at age 33, dedicated runner and triathlete Andrea Lytle Peet launched her self-described “crazy” journey after surpassing the estimated life expectancy of someone with ALS. No terminal illness nor global pandemic could stop her (or her recumbent trike) from pursuing her dream of a lifetime: to make history as the first person with ALS to finish 50 marathons in 50 states. Andrea’s epic adventure is captured in the inspiring documentary, Go On, Be Brave and you have a chance to see an exclusive screening at Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend!

Join us on

  • Thursday, April 27 at 5 p.m. for a screening of the full-length film (110 minutes) or
  • Friday, April 28 at 3 p.m. for 20-minute excerpt from the film and followed by a Q&A with Andrea

Both screenings will take place in the ARC Auditorium on the lower level of the Activities and Recreation Center, the same building where the Health & Fitness Expo take place, 201 East Peabody Drive, Champaign.
