100-Hour Challenge

The 100-Hour Virtual Challenge takes place between January 1 and April 30. The goal over the 17.5 weeks of the challenge is to get in 100 hours of exercise (which works out to about 5 hours and 42 minutes of exercise per week). ANY exercise counts for the challenge—running, walking, biking, swimming, yoga, strength training…you name it. Even dog walking counts! The goal is to keep moving over the weeks of the challenge.

ZOOM WEBINARS

To enhance your experience in the 100-Hour Challenge, we have planned four zoom webinars. We will share the zoom link for each webinar with all our entrants so they can watch/listen in live if they want to. We’ll record each webinar and email entrants the link so they can watch/listen after the fact, at their convenience. Race director Jan Seeley will moderate the webinars. Here’s the schedule: January 9 @ 9:00 a.m. Dr. Rafael Ruggieri, general surgeon at Christie Clinic: “Dying’s not too bad, but coming back really hurts”; February 6 @ 9:00 a.m.: Rachel Zubricky, PT, DPT, OCS at Christie Clinic: Rachel will address injury prevention and treatment of common running injuries; February 18 @ 10:00 a.m.: Mike Lindemann, owner of Body n’ Sole Sports: “How to survive winter running”; and March 13 @ 9:00 a.m. Susie Kundrat, B.S., M.S, Registered Dietician: “Optimal Fueling for Fitness: Simple, Positive, and Doable Eating Tips for Success”

All 100-Hour Challenge entrants receive a pair of awesome DeFeet running socks featuring the race logo. VIRTUAL RESULTS PLATFORM

  1. Log in into your Race Roster dashboard as a participant.
  2. On your Participant Dashboard, go to your dashboard for the 100-Hour Challenge and click + Add activity (by which, we mean, the exercise you want to post).
  3. You will then be directed to the activity submission page where you will enter the date you completed your exercise and the time you took to complete it.
  4. Once you have submitted an activity, you will be taken to your challenge dashboard where you can see your completed activities and statistics. Your name will be listed on the Leaderboard under the Name heading. Clicking on your name will also bring you to your results dashboard.
