Kick off race weekend 2025 in style by joining us at the 4th Mile Street Fest, a high-energy event in conjunction with the Christie Clinic Illinois 5K Run/Walk.

(on Kirby Avenue)

The 4th Mile Street Fest is the perfect place for you to kick up some excitement before your Saturday race and where you can celebrate with your friends after the Christie Clinic Illinois 5K Run/Walk.

Food and drink

Your 5K race entry includes one ticket for a beer, wine, or cider, with your race number as your ticket (for entrants 21 and older). Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available, including Busch NA.

In addition to live music, there will be food trucks—La Paloma, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee, Juanito’s Tacos, Chicago Grill, Kona Ice, The Main Scoop, El Oasis, and Mini Melts. The official, complimentary 5K postrace food is served in the Great West Hall of Memorial Stadium. All the food at the 4th Mile is for purchase.

Wooden nickels

And don’t forget to pick up your Wooden Nickels from Experience Champaign Urbana at the Health & Fitness Expo (Thursday, April 24, and Friday, April 25) for discounts at a variety of local businesses! You can also pick up Wooden Nickels at the Experience Champaign Urbana booth at the 27th mile. Check back regularly for the updated list of participants. New businesses added daily!

Live music

DreamCatchers is a C-U area three-piece acoustic band, featuring Andy Baylor as lead guitarist/vocals, Dave Cooper as harmony guitarist/vocals, and Virginia Rosas as lead singer. The band’s repertoire includes a variety of songs from late 70s to top modern pop, rock, country, blues, and reggae. Join the FUN listening to some of your favorite songs to the beat of DreamCatchers.
